Tuna graduated from the Chemical Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in 1998. For 5 years, she worked in the production, quality and R&D departments of international companies such as Colgate Palmolive and Kraft Foods in engineering and mid-level management roles.

She left her engineering career due to her long-lasting interest in social sciences and started Koç University Industrial and Organizational Psychology graduate program, receiving her MA degree in 2007. During her graduate studies she worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant, which yielded in various research presentations in conferences, such as the Academy of Management and ISSWOV and a book chapter on “Nepotism in Human Resources Management” with Prof. Zeynep Aycan.

Between 2007-2015, she has worked in rhe HR field with increasing responsibilities. She worked respectively as Head of Recruitment & Employer Branding in BSH Home Appliances, Turkey HR Manager and East Europe HR Manager in Indesit Company, Middle East and Africa Senior HR Manager in Whirlpool EMEA (after the acquisition of Indesit Company) before joining to Koç University Career Development Center. She completed the ADLER Certificated Coaching Program in 2016.

Tuna is passionately pursuing her current job, which involves opportunities to transfer her diversified career experiences to the young generation. Besides her leadership roles, she consults students on general career subjects, interpreting self-assessment tools and interview preparation, and instructs UNIV101 Start Your Career Today Seminar.
