Would You Like to Get Support in Your Career Journey?

Career Development Center’s “career mentors”, support their peers!

As a volunteer mentee, would you like to get support from one of your peers, who have gone through the same path as you in their career journey?

What Are the Qualifications We Are Looking For?

  • ELC, 1st or 2nd year students from all departments
  • Volunteer to improve oneself in career development-related topics,
  • Being able to devote time to the program and attend group meetings regularly throughout an academic semester.

What Awaits You as a Mentee in This Program?

  • Career Mentors who are selected by the Career Development Center and prepared for this role with various trainings will support you on;
    • Discovering yourself and your career interests,
    • Creating a career plan,
    •  Building a professional network,
    •  Preparing CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile
    •  Establishing and managing a personal brand,
    •  Preparing for interviews
  • You can benefit from the experiences of other mentees in your group.
  • You can gain the necessary skills while preparing for professional life,
  • With the regular support you receive, you can be one step ahead in your career journey,
  • You will be informed about career services and events on and off campus,
  • Once you complete the program successfully, you will be entitled to receive a certificate.

Mentee Application and Selection Process

  • Mentee candidates can visit this link to browse mentors’ profiles and fill out the application form in this link during the application dates indicated below.
  • Pre-selections will be made by the Career Development Center, and selected mentee candidates will be invited to interviews by the mentors.
  • Mentee candidates who are selected based on the interviews will be accepted to the program.

How Will Mentors and Mentees Come Together?

  • Mentors and mentees will come together in 5 group meetings throughout Spring 2024 academic semester, regarding the career development issues mentioned above.
  • The meetings will be organized by mentors and each meeting will last approximately 1-1.5 hours.
  • Additionally, mentors and mentees will be able to stay in touch with the WhatsApp group between these dates.
